10/16 2.84 miles
It's been awhile since I last ran. I got really busy and then a little bit sick and next thing I knew nearly two weeks had passed. This was initially supposed to be a 3 mile run but I had to stop half way and that shortened the back half of my run. The first 1/5 miles was under 8min/mile which I was happy about.

4 miles - 31:14
My goal was to be under 32 minutes for the four miles. This was definitely the hardest run I've done to date this season. Very painful, especially the last half-mile and recovery took a lot longer than usual as well. Times continue to progress, though.

Ran a good, solid three miles. It definitely wasn't a hard run but it wasn't slow either. Just a good pace for right now.

3.5 miles
Very hard 3.5 miles. I intended this to be a 4 mile run but I started out a little too fast and didn't anticipate how hard it would be to run back into the wind. I was really out of gas at the 3-mile mark but pushed through until 3.5 miles. Probably the most exhausted I've been this season. Times are getting better...

4 good miles
Ran four miles today. Wasn't sure how it was going to go but it felt pretty good for the first mile so I ran it pretty quick. Just slightly over 8min/mile and then ran hard the last half mile for my first sub-8 min/mile long run of the season. Felt good.

I took a small break halfway through this one and realized my last five miler was indeed a bit short. At least I now know the markers. The back half of my run was the true half-way point and therefore a little longer than the front half but I still managed to run it 1s faster.

Ran at the track for the first time this season with the little family. Ella actually did quite a bit of running herself. I just did 2 miles.

2/5 ~ 3 miles
Ran a hard 3 miles. Though I didn't completeley exhaust myself at the finish of my run like I did so much last season, it was probably the hardest run yet. I really wanted to take a break at the half-way mark but I'm glad I persevered. The time was very good as well, I'm getting closer to the 7 minute mile mark.

This one I just ran with the girls and stopped running when I caught up with them. It was supposed to be an easy run but it felt pretty fast and good. I'd say under 8:30/mile.

Another run with the fam but this time I had my watch and caught up to them at an convenient mile marker so I know the distance. Fairly easy run since it was the farthest I've run this season.

First 3-mile run this season. Didn't feel bad at all, in fact I started off as an easy run and when I saw that my time was decent I sort of turned it on. But still not completely all-out. It will be good to be training in the 7min/mile range.

A good drop of time, especially considering that it is coming off my first consecutive-day run. Yesterday was harder than it should have been considering the time I posted. Today was much better and I still didn't go all out.

1/23 Run
I really don't think it was meant for 200lbs to run 2.68mi - it really just doesn't feel right; not to mention the pain. My times have been coming down, hopefully the weight will be soon to follow. I need to be in the 170-180lb range to be back where I was a couple years ago.

Two-Mile Run

Not bad considering I was still really sore from church-ball on Friday night. It really felt like both my knees were hitting bone on bone. I've never really had that before. Hopefully it goes away soon.
