Future Runs

It looks like the first Run The Woodlands in June will be on the 9th, so mark your calendar - it'll come fast. I'm also 95% certain I'll run a 5k in Katy on May 12th as well. It gives me something to look forward to in the very near future and it is right in my back yard at Cinco Ranch. It will also be cool to experience a "real" 5k - the ones that are usually in support of some cause, offer T-shirts, have food, have large turnouts and cost money.

4/30 Report

4 miles - 32:21 (8:05/mile)

I entered my race-time into the fasterrunning.com training calculator to see what kind of paces I should be setting for myself. My easy days should be run at 8:55 pace. Hard days should be a 7:25 pace for only 20-30 minutes. Speed work should be run at about 6:11 pace. I'm going to try this out for the next couple weeks and see how it goes. Today I'll run 5 miles at my easy pace and try to run 3 miles tomorrow at my fast pace. I'll probably throw a long, easy run in at the end of the week as well.
