A Little Ambitious

The last time I ran 3 miles was almost two weeks ago and it took me 25 and a half minutes. I figured enough time had gone by that I could now shoot for 24 minutes or just under if I could muster up a strong finish. I was at the track so I knew I had to go 2:00/lap to get right at 24 min for 3 miles. Well, about 3 or 4 laps in I started to have doubts. I was on pace but it was hurting. I was breathing pretty hard and my leg muscles seemed really tight and fatigued. I kept pace for 6 laps and fell off on the 7th. I decided to just make it two miles (which really was and is a disappointing decision)and finished in exactly 16:00. It marks the first time my time did not drop during a workout since day 1 which was 32 days ago.
