shin splints

2 Miles - 15:16.

Today was probably the most painful 2 miles I have run yet. It hurt my lungs because I ran hard but I really didn't give myself enough recovery time from Saturday's five miler. My knees and shins were aching most of the first 3 laps until the pain in my lungs became enough of a distraction that I forgot about my legs. I'll probably try and stick to the all-weather track just for health reasons alone. I'm hoping the shin splints will kind of go away on their own as my body adjusts to running again. I'm excited to try and go sub 15 this week on my 2-mile time!
